The NCA advocates for consumer rights — promoting national standards and fair practices across Saint Lucia’s marketplace.

What is Consumer Connect?

Consumer Connect is Saint Lucia’s first national platform dedicated to strengthening consumer protection by providing:

  1. A portal to lodge complaints and track cases.
  2. A database to capture issues across sectors.
  3. Resources on consumer rights and responsibilities.
  4. A space for agencies and businesses to collaborate.

It is spearheaded by the National Consumer Association (NCA) in partnership with other regulatory agencies:

  • Consumer Affairs Department (CAD): Safeguards consumer rights and welfare
  • Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards (SLBS): Sets and enforces product and service standards.
  • National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC): Regulates telecommunications and prevents unfair practices.

Why was it developed?

Consumer Connect brings Saint Lucia’s consumer protection agencies together through a single platform, creating a more coordinated and accessible approach to consumer protection. It was created to:

  • Eliminate duplication of work among agencies.
  • Provide consumers with clear, accessible support.
  • Replace anecdotal evidence with reliable data.
  • Strengthen collaboration among organizations that protect consumer rights.

All personal information is secure and shared only with the responsible agency. Data is shared responsibly for advocacy, without exposing individuals.
