About the NCA

Who we are

The National Consumer Association (NCA) has been a champion of underrepresented consumers nationwide since 2001. A nonprofit organization, the NCA focuses on advocacy and education to empower Consumers. This provides dispute resolution services and assists businesses and individuals seeking to resolve disputes through its bespoke complaints platform, Consumer Connect.

Under the Consumer Protection Act 2016, as amended, the NCA is a recognized consumer body for the purposes of referring cases to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs and onwards to the Consumer Commission and Tribunal.

  • Section 8 of the Consumer Protection (Amendment) Act 2021
  • ‘The National Consumers Association (Saint Lucia) Inc. may make a complaint to the Department on behalf of a consumer”

What we do

The NCA maintains its status as an independent advocate providing expert commentary on key consumer concerns and current marketplace issues affecting consumers in Saint Lucia. Over the years, the Association has developed relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers.

We are pleased to be able to offer Saint Lucians affordable access and advice via our Helpdesk, consisting of individuals who have experience in consumer-related disputes.

The organization educates those needing help to understand their options and in communicating with suppliers.
